Russia’s MTS ex-CEO Sidorov chairs TTK board of directors
MOSCOW, Mar 15 (PRIME) -- Vasily Sidorov, a member of the board of directors of Russian Railways and former president of mobile operator MTS, has been elected as a chairman of the board of directors of wireline operator TransTeleCom (TTK), owned by the railway monopoly, TTK said Tuesday in a statement.
TTK’s board was also joined by two senior vice presidents of the railway company – Valentin Gapanovich and Sergei Maltsev – and Olga Gnedkova, head of the corporate finance department at Russian Railways, as well as TTK’s President Roman Kravtsov.
TTK operates and services Russia’s largest fiber optic communication network with a length of more than 76,000 kilometers. The network is laid along railways, and has more than 1,000 access nodes in all 85 regions of Russia and connects West Europe with the Asia-Pacific region.
